Recent Advances in Innovative Magnetic Nanomaterials for Cancer Theranostics
- Sudip Mukherjee
- October 2019
Description
This book provides a detailed overview of cancer theranostics applications of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles. Their synthesis, characterization, multifunctionality, disease targeting, biodistribution, pharmacokinetics and toxicity are highlighted, along with current examples of clinical trials of magnetic nanoparticles in cancer theranostics, and their future scopes and challenges.
About Editors
Sudip Mukherjee is a postdoctoral research associate at the department of bioengineering at Rice University. His research involves in the development of advanced nano/bio materials for drug delivery in cancer theranostics, immunomodulatory applications in cancer and diabetes, and angiogenesis. He has published more than 36 peer-reviewed research articles, three book chapters and three patents. He serves as an international advisory board member of Materials Research Express journal and also works as a scientific blog writer for RSC's Biomaterials Science.
